Privacy and security
How we protect your family
Your family's information is yours. Here is what we do to keep it private, in plain words.
We follow HIPAA
HIPAA is the federal law that protects health information. It sets who may see it and how it must be kept.
Private telehealth
Video sessions use a HIPAA-compliant platform, and each link is for your family only.
Access by role
In our systems, each person sees only what their role needs. A therapist does not see another family's work.
You can ask
You can ask for a copy of your child's records, or ask a question about your information, at any time.
The family portal
The portal is where you find classes, handouts and events. It is built to hold as little as it needs.
- Every page is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS)
- It holds training and class records only, never clinical records
- Passwords are stored scrambled, so not even we can read them
- Sign-ins expire, and an account can be signed out everywhere at once
- Changes made by staff are written to an activity log
- Search engines are kept out of the portal
Your records
To ask for a copy of your child's records, or to ask who can see them, call the office or send us a message. We will tell you what we need to confirm it is you.
A question about your information?
Call us or send a message. A person on our team will answer.
