Some parts of care can happen by secure video from your home. Your BCBA helps you decide which parts, and which are better in person.

What can happen by video

  • Parent training

    A BCBA coaches you through the same steps we use, while you practise with your child at home.

  • BCBA consultations and assessments

    Intake conversations, parts of an assessment, and regular check-ins about the plan.

  • Direct ABA sessions

    Some sessions with your child can be held by video, when your BCBA agrees it suits the goal.

  • Parent Connection Academy

    Academy groups can meet online, so you can join from wherever you are.

How a telehealth session works

  • Before

    We send you a private link. If it is your first time, we check your camera and sound with you.

  • During

    Your BCBA or therapist joins by video. You and your child are where you are most comfortable.

  • After

    Notes go into your child's record, just like an in-person session. You can ask about them any time.

What you need

  • A phone, tablet or computer with a camera
  • An internet connection
  • A quiet space where you can talk
  • For sessions with your child: a few favorite toys or snacks nearby

Private on video

Video sessions use a HIPAA-compliant platform. HIPAA is the federal law that protects health information. The link is only for your family.

When in person is better

Some goals are easier to work on in the same room. Your BCBA will be honest about that, and many families use a mix of home, center and video.

Questions about telehealth

Does insurance cover telehealth?

It depends on your plan. We check your coverage for you, including telehealth, before anything starts.

Can my child's therapy be all by video?

Usually not all of it. Your BCBA decides with you which parts suit video. Many families use a mix.

Is telehealth available in Spanish?

Yes. Tell us you would like Spanish and we will set it up.

Where do I need to be?

Anywhere private with a good connection. Most families join from home.
